Winners of the [International Student Startup Idea Challenge in Busan]

On Tuesday, September 23, two startup club teams from our university received awards at the [2025 International Student Startup Idea Challenge in Busan] held at BEXCO in Busan.

The event was hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City and organized by the Busan Global City Foundation and Busan Startup Investment Agency.

Ten finalist teams participated in a poster exhibition and pitching competition, which was held in conjunction with the “FLY ASIA 2025” Asia Startup Expo.

Three teams from our university advanced to the finals:

△ UniQuest (Sonam Sherpa, Ph.D. Program in Global Business(Graduate) and team members)

△ Gurkha Align (Khanal Pranish, in Global Business Administration(Undergraduate))

△ NeKo (Pyakurel Aayush, in Global Hospitality Management(Undergraduate) and team member)

Among them, UniQuest (a global support app for international students: an all-in-one service from pre-departure to settlement) and NeKo (a lifestyle guide app for international students: covering health, housing, and jobs) were awarded the Honorable Mention(500,000 KRW and Certificate).

Once again, we congratulate the startup club teams on reaching the finals and receiving awards, and we applaud their hard work and passion.

The International Student Career Support Center will continue to expand its support to enhance international students’ capabilities in employment and startup.

9. 23.(화) 부산 벡스코에서 개최된 ‘2025 부산 외국인 유학생 창업 아이디어 경진대회’에서 유학생 창업 동아리 2개 팀이 수상하였습니다.

이번 행사는 부산광역시가 주관하고 부산글로벌도시재단과 부산기술창업투자원이 주최했으며, 아시아 창업엑스포 ‘FLY ASIA 2025’와 연계한 아이디어 포스터 전시 및 피칭 대회에 본선 진출 10개 팀이 참가했습니다.

우리 대학에서는 총 3개 팀이 본선에 진출했습니다.

△ 유니퀘스트 (글로벌비즈니스학과 박사과정 소남 셰르파 등)

△ Gurkha Align (글로벌경영전공 4학년 카날 프라니쉬)

△ NeKo (글로벌Hospitality경영전공 3학년 파쿠렐 아유시 등)

이 중 ‘유니퀘스트(전세계 유학생 지원 앱: 유학 준비부터 정착까지 올인원 서비스)’와 ‘NeKo(유학생 생활 가이드 앱: 건강, 주거, 일자리)’팀이 장려상(상금 50만원 및 상장)을 수상했습니다.

다시 한번 창업 동아리 팀의 본선 진출과 수상을 축하하며, 그들의 노력과 열정에 박수를 보냅니다.

앞으로도 외국인유학생취업지원센터는 유학생들의 취·창업 역량 강화를 위한 지원을 지속 확대하겠습니다.
